What this mod does
Ford NT950D recreates the largest and most powerful model in Ford’s N-Series, built between 1963 and 1969. It’s a short-hood truck made for heavy work, not comfort, and it was built from scratch by Maurice Randall, with Bomkat handling research, 3D modeling, testing and paint jobs.
Engines and sound
- Engine sounds by Slav Jerry and Kriechbaum.
- The engines include the Cummins Big Cam 400: one player describes it as a bit short on power, but with the best sound in the list.
- Players are asking for a 534 gasoline V8, which isn’t available for now.
Version
V1.1 (September 4, 2026) fixes the red headlights for 1.61, and V1.2 (September 29) stops the truck from showing up in Road Trip mode, an SCS bug that affects all three of the author’s Fords. The definition ID is ford.nt950d.
Known issues
One user points out that the interior is missing the engine cover, which leaves the gear lever in an unrealistic position; the author accepted reference material to fix it. Players have also asked for a metal dashboard and door emblems. Paint templates were announced, but they don’t appear in the description yet.
