[Cargoes] Compressed Natural Gas (compressed natural gas cargo on the gooseneck) for Euro Truck Simulator 2

What this mod does

[Cargoes] Compressed Natural Gas is a cargo by SASq that adds a 20 ft gooseneck trailer loaded with compressed natural gas. The cargo weighs 15,000 kg (15 tons) and comes in tubes 1 m long and 26 cm in diameter. It’s standalone: it doesn’t replace anything and shows up in regular jobs.

Where to find it

• On the freight market, as «Compressed Natural Gas», when the game generates it.
• In the game’s vehicle browser, in the trailer list, under the SCS gooseneck section.
• It can take a while to show up: sometimes you need to sleep several times before you see it on the list.

Version

The description asks for 1.36 or higher. SASq still maintains it: he added support for 1.57 on December 28, 2025 and for 1.58 on February 16, 2026. In May 2023 he fixed a game crash caused by an SCS change to the UI.

Known warning

The author notes that the game log may show an insufficient temporary buffer warning when reading one of the models, which is about 52 MB. It’s part of his cargo collections and the «Gooseneck Pack», along with compressed hydrogen and helium. SASq doesn’t allow re-uploading or editing it for public use.

Requirements

• Euro Truck Simulator 2 (updated by the author for 1.58)
• No DLC or other mods needed

How to install it

1. Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
2. Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the cargo.
3. Load your profile and look for "Compressed Natural Gas" on the freight market.
4. If it doesn't show up, sleep several times until it appears.
