What this mod does
License Plates 3 by JmZ is the third installment of Jaymzarf’s license plate project. It adds custom, realistic plates to trucks and trailers, following each country’s regulations. This is the required base mod; countries come in separate add-ons (for now the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland).
What the base includes
- A frame with logo and plate lights on every SCS truck and trailer.
- Extra options and slots on parts like bumpers, and animated turn signals on some trailer bumpers.
- WAŚ (with the brand’s permission) and Aspöck ECOLED 3 tail lights and clearance lights for SCS and DLC trailers.
- A revamped Thermo King reefer unit and an 8×4 chassis for the Volvo FH4, FH5 and FH6.
Compatibility
It covers every SCS truck, including DLC ones and their tuning parts, all trailers and the DAF, Scania and Renault electric trucks. It supports free mods like Krille’s Volvo FH12/16 or the SGD Trailer Pack, and works alongside Tobrago’s Signs on Your Truck & Trailer, which goes below the base. Country add-ons go at the very top.
Version
Version 3.4.0.0, from October 4, 2026, is adapted to 1.61. The author acknowledges issues with RJL’s Scania T and T4 and doesn’t support paid mods.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.61 (older versions exist for 1.54-1.60)
- Optional: License Plates 3 country add-ons
- Optional: Signs on Your Truck & Trailer by Tobrago
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Also subscribe to the add-ons for the countries you want.
- In the Mod Manager, put the add-ons at the top, the base below them and Signs on Your Truck & Trailer below the base.
- Load your profile and set up the plate and its parts at the service shop.
Common problems
Is the base enough?
The base adds the frame, lights and extras; each country's plates come in separate add-ons.
Which countries are available?
Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland; the author is working on more.
Does it work with RJL's Scanias?
The author acknowledges issues with RJL's T and T4.
Is it compatible with Signs on Your Truck & Trailer?
Yes, it goes below the base in the load order.
