What this mod does
Passenger mod for Cars, by Cristhian [BR] (Cristhian Cardoso), adds «passengers» as cargo so you can take jobs while driving a modded car. The author explains that it’s an adapted trailer, so it may have bugs. It has over 132,000 subscribers.
Where it shows up
Passengers appear at ETS2 companies and on several maps: ProMods, EAA, EBR, Rotas Brasil, Eldorado, Bahia, Sul-Paraná, RC Brasil, Brasilzão, Elite da Rodagem, RBR, Ceibo and Grand Utopia, among others. The cargo weighs 1 ton.
Author’s tips
- Turn off advanced trailer coupling in Options > Gameplay.
- If you don’t see passengers, skip time ahead: sleep, use F7 + Enter or fast travel. After that they show up in Quick Jobs and on the Freight Market.
- Use easy or automatic parking.
- If a trailer hides the passengers, try camera 0 with Ctrl + F9, or F7 + Enter to go to the service shop.
On some cars the coupling point isn’t quite right.
Version and multiplayer
The author lists it as compatible with 1.47 to 1.60. The latest update is from September 26, 2024. It’s been tested on Convoy: everyone has to use the same mod version. The same author has a Passenger mod for buses, which already has its own page on Holymod.

How to install it
- Open the "Passenger mod for Cars" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- In Options > Gameplay, turn off advanced trailer coupling.
- Load your save with a modded car and skip time ahead (sleep or F7 + Enter) if you don't see passengers.
- Look for passengers in Quick Jobs or on the Freight Market.
Common problems
No passengers show up
