What this mod does
Realistic Wipers, by Kawer (xXKawerXx), changes and adds windshield wiper speeds to the trucks in Euro Truck Simulator 2. In the base game every truck shares the same speeds; with this mod, each model has its own, and some offer more settings than others, just like real trucks.
Which trucks it covers
- SCS’s DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania and Volvo.
- DLC trucks too; the author confirms, for example, the Iveco S-Way.
- Not modded trucks yet: the author says they plan to add them, along with a version for ATS.
Installation and load order
Version 1.2 is made for ETS2 1.60 and 1.61. The author recommends putting it at the very top of the Mod Manager; it will probably work in another position, but if you don’t notice the change, move it up. It may conflict with other mods that change wiper speed or behavior.
Known issues
One player reported that the files for the left-hand-drive Scania R 2016 were missing; the author acknowledged the bug and announced a new upload. The mod doesn’t change the wiper sound, although the author doesn’t rule out adding it. It’s only published on Steam Workshop: the author asks you to report reuploads on other websites.

How to install it
- Open the "Realistic Wipers" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Open the Mod Manager for your profile and enable "Realistic Wipers".
- Move it to the very top of the Mod Manager, as the author recommends.
