What this mod does
Animated Steering Wheel, by DKL_quit, makes the steering wheel move with animation in SCS trucks. It started in 2023 with the DAF XF106 and, version by version, has grown to cover every truck in the game.
Trucks covered
- DAF XF106, XG and XD; MAN TGX Euro 6, 2019 and 2020; Scania R and S 2016, with the Super Cab since version 12.0; Volvo FH 2012; Renault T and Magnum; Mercedes MP4.
- Version 7.0 added Sanax’s Volvo FH 2022 and Actros Plus, although several users say it doesn’t work for them with Sanax’s FH.
Load order and adjustments
It’s compatible with Next Generation Scania P G R S Pack: the author suggests putting his mod first and the Scania pack right below it. With the animated wheel, only one adjustment remains for the wheel’s height or angle; the author explains that he tried to fix this without success.
Version and issues
The last update is from December 13, 2025, and the author doesn’t state a game version. The comments include requests for a 1.60 update, a bug with rain on the DAF XF and another with the parking brake in the new DAF interior. Try it on a secondary profile first.

How to install it
- Open the "Animated Steering Wheel" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to download the mod.
- In the Mod Manager, place it first; if you use Next Generation Scania P G R S Pack, put that right below it.
- Load your save and get into the cab of any SCS truck.
- Adjust the steering wheel position with the one adjustment still available.

Does it work on 1.61?
The author doesn't say, and the last update is from December 2025. Users are asking for an update to 1.60.
Why can't I adjust the steering wheel properly?
