What this mod does
Road Trains, by AutiAuto, adds road trains to Euro Truck Simulator 2: combinations with two and three trailers. The author publishes a four-trailer version and a five- and six-trailer version separately. It has over 48,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.
How to use them
The mod’s trailers only show up on the freight market and in quick jobs. For now you can’t buy or own them, although in December 2024 the author said he might add that.
Author’s warnings
- It’s a fun mod, not a realistic one.
- Very long trains can spawn badly at companies; sometimes you have to teleport them out.
- To let such heavy trailers spawn, it overwrites the country definitions and removes axle weight limits. If it clashes with other mods, give it lower priority.
- The biggest combinations may never spawn.
- It can’t be reuploaded or modified for public use without his permission.
Version
It works from 1.28 onward, and the author says he tested it at least up to 1.60. In November 2025 he tested it again on the latest version with no issues. The file is from November 19, 2022. One user warns that the trailer shows up as «HCT» and won’t let him use it in Convoy.
