What this mod does
SJMap is a project by notreal71 that adds some of the most isolated places on the planet. The name comes from Svalbard and Jan Mayen, the Norwegian Arctic archipelagos it started with.
What it adds
- Four settlements in Svalbard and Jan Mayen, including Hornsund and the Jan Mayen airfield.
- Camp Barneo, the camp on the ice in international waters near the North Pole.
- Alert, in Nunavut (Canada), one of the northernmost inhabited places in the world.
- Raoul Island Station (New Zealand), new in R8.
Who it’s for
For anyone who knows Europe by heart and wants something different and unusual. The author warns that it’s a side project that puts fun ahead of strict realism, so don’t expect an exact recreation.
Version and compatibility
R8 (August 14, 2026) is made for ETS2 1.60 and later, and TruckyMods tags it as compatible with 1.60 and 1.61. According to the author, it’s probably compatible with most maps; ProMods support exists thanks to a fix by hi sora. It needs all map DLC, including Nordic Horizons.
