What this mod does
Italy Map Project (IMP) is Matt17Modding’s big project to improve the game’s Italy. It isn’t limited to one area: it reworks highways from north to south and adds cities the Italia DLC doesn’t have.
What it changes in the game
- Redesigned highways: the Brenner A22, A4, A21, A12, A1, A14 and others, with new interchanges and service areas.
- Rebuilt cities: Genoa, Verona, Livorno, Venice, Milan and Cuneo.
- New cities: Trento, Bolzano, Vicenza, Siena, Foggia, Reggio Calabria and the islands of Elba (Portoferraio) and Giglio.
- Ferries: routes such as Genoa-Barcelona, Genoa-Palermo, Livorno-Palermo and crossings on Lake Garda.
Who it’s for
For anyone who runs lots of routes through Italy and misses cities or finds the base game’s highways bland. Since it has a ferry to Barcelona, it’s also a good fit if you often travel between Spain and Italy.
Version and compatibility
V15 was updated for ETS2 1.61 on September 26, 2026, with a fix for signs that broke in map combos. It works on top of the base map; to use it with ProMods you need a separate add-on that the author offers on his channels. The author only distributes the mod on TruckyMods and in his official app.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.61
- Italia and Vive la France! DLCs (the author recommends owning all map DLCs)
- For ProMods: the author's dedicated compatibility add-on
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on TruckyMods and download V15 (1.61), or install it with Trucky Mods Manager.
- If it comes compressed, unzip it and copy the .scs files to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Launch the game and open the Mod Manager.
- Activate all the Italy Map Project files.
- If you use ProMods, also add the compatibility add-on and follow the load order the author gives.
- Load your save and head to Italy to see the changes.

Common problems
Do I need to start a new profile?
No. It's an expansion of the base map, not a standalone map, so you use it with your normal profile.
Does it work with ProMods?
Yes, but with a dedicated add-on. Without it, the two mods clash in Italy.
Where can I download it safely?
Only on TruckyMods or in the author's official app. Any other site is an unauthorized reupload.
