Is BeamNG.drive crashing, is a modded vehicle missing or are objects showing up pink? How to use Holyfix
View tutorial- Choose your gameAt the top, next to the Holyfix logo, you choose the game. Each game has its own analyzer.
- Find the log fileThe game writes everything that happens while you play to a text file. In BeamNG it's called beamng.log; Help shows where it is on each system.
- Load it right after the problemDrop it into Holyfix before you open the game again, because it's wiped every time you open it.
- Read the summaryWe tell you in one sentence what's going on and where to start. Your file never leaves your computer.
- Fix the problems one by oneIn Problems, do what “What to do” says for the first one, mark it as done and move on to the next. They're sorted from most to least likely.
- Check the modsIn My mods you see all your mods with their status and a link to their mod page and official download.
- Don't worry about version warningsA mod being marked for another game version isn't always a problem: many work anyway. Only check them if the problem continues.
- Try againOpen the game, repeat what was failing and load the new log to check it's fixed.
- If it still fails, ask for helpShare your diagnosis with a link to ask for help on a forum or on Discord, or press “Holyfix didn't help me” and we'll review it.

Frequently asked questions
Where is the beamng.log?
In your BeamNG.drive user folder. Since 0.37 it’s in %LOCALAPPDATA%\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current on Windows and in ~/.local/share/BeamNG/BeamNG.drive/current on Linux (before 0.37, %LOCALAPPDATA%\BeamNG.drive\0.36 and similar). If you moved it, open it from the launcher with Manage User Folder. beamng.log is the current session; numbered files such as beamng.1.log are from previous sessions.
On other systems:
- Linux:
~/.local/share/BeamNG/BeamNG.drive/current/ - Up to 0.36:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\BeamNG.drive\0.36 - Custom folder:
Launcher › Manage User Folder › Open in Explorer
What does Holyfix check?
- The mods the game loaded: from the Repository, added by hand and unpacked copies.
- Errors explained in plain English: damaged or partly downloaded mods, duplicates, script errors, vehicles or parts that won’t load and missing textures.
- Problems that aren’t mods, such as graphics card errors (VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST), so you don’t waste time removing mods.
- Mods we don’t know yet: you can ask us to review them.
BeamNG has no load order like ETS2: if a mod fails, you disable or update it. To confirm the mods are to blame, start in Safe Mode from the launcher (Support Tools). Using another game? Choose your analyzer.
Is it safe? Do you upload my file?
It’s safe. The file is read in your browser and never sent to any server. We only receive what you choose to send: a request to review a mod (its Steam Workshop number or file name), your feedback and, if you say yes at the end, anonymous statistics. Learn more.
Why doesn’t it tell me whether a mod is for my version?
Because BeamNG mods don’t state their game version in the log. Holyfix flags the errors they cause and, if the mod is on Holymod, links to its page, where we list the version its author confirms.
Why does it say a mod is for another version when it works for me?
We use the version the mod’s author states on its official page. Many mods keep working on newer versions without changes; if it works for you, you can ignore the warning.
One of my mods isn’t recognized. What can I do?
Click “Ask us to review it”. If the mod is legal and has an official source, we add it to Holymod and Holyfix will recognize it from then on.
Is Holyfix free?
Yes, it’s free, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
