What this mod does
C13 Camera Obscura is a photorealistic post-processing filter by Ciba1991, the same author behind C13 AEGIS. It was rebuilt from scratch in 2022 with Pure in mind, and since version 2.2 it no longer works with Sol. It’s free and has more than 37,000 downloads with a rating of 4.81 out of 5.
What it offers
- Color correction based on its own color lookup tables and cinematic-style tone mapping.
- Rewritten auto exposure that adapts to bounced and emissive light.
- Recalibrated daytime brightness and more stable scene lights.
- Options in Pure’s post-processing tab, with a preset selector.
Requirements
It requires Pure 0.142 or later, and the author warns that it doesn’t work with earlier versions, as well as Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.77 or later. In CSP you only need to adjust LightingFX.
Installation and tips
Drag the system folder from the archive into your Assetto Corsa folder; it overwrites the previous version. Try the preset selector and save with “Save Script Settings”. The latest version is from October 2022; after that the author focused on the more cinematic C13 AEGIS, so if you want something current for Pure, compare the two.
