What this mod does
Improved Lighting for Pure (ILP) is a set of post-processing filters by valex07 for Pure, Peter Boese’s paid graphics mod. It only works with Pure in Gamma mode, it’s free and it has more than 29,000 downloads with a 4.83 rating from 65 reviews. Version 15.32 Final is from August 2025.
What it improves
- More natural glare and bloom, Pure colors, and normal gamma and contrast.
- HDR mode, with a usage guide in the update notes.
- Advanced settings in the Pure Config window, including night brightness and gamma.
- Several filters: ILP, ILP_Linear, ILP_Pure and the minimal ILP_Base. Since April 2025 only ILP and ILP_Linear get updates.
Why Gamma and not LCS
The author tried Pure’s LCS mode and went back to Gamma because, as he explains, LCS night lighting still struggles with materials like chrome and causes problems in the rain.
Installation and tips
Unzip the archive into the game folder; the author advises against dragging it into Content Manager. Then pick Pure Gamma and one of the ILP filters in the video settings. Some users say it’s fairly demanding on the graphics card, so test it before a long race.

How to install it
- Install or update Pure and Custom Shaders Patch.
- Go to the ILP page on OverTake.gg, log in and download the file (about 34 KB).
- Unzip it into the game folder (steamapps/common/assettocorsa).
- In the video settings, pick Pure Gamma and one of the ILP filters.
- Fine-tune the result in the Pure Config window.

Common problems
Does it work with Pure LCS?
No. It's made for Pure Gamma only; the author explains why he prefers that mode.
Which filter should I pick?
ILP and ILP_Linear are the ones still getting updates; ILP_Pure and ILP_Base stayed on earlier versions.
Does it work with an HDR monitor?
Yes; the mod page links to a guide for using HDR correctly.
