What this mod does
Vision Reality is a post-processing filter by Maximum Custom Games that ships together with its settings profile for Pure. Released in June 2023, it has over 47,000 downloads on OverTake with a rating of 4.71 out of 5.
Requirements
- Pure 0.254.
- Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.3-preview211.
- ReShade is optional.
Version 1.3.5, from May 2024, is a small update for those versions of Pure and CSP.
What users highlight
Reviews praise the reflections on the bodywork, the color tones and the skies. Some compare it to the look of the latest console racing games. There are downsides too: headlight glare varies from car to car and the author admits he doesn’t know how to adjust it per car, one user finds some dashboard lights look odd at night, and another misses the track lights at night.
Installation and tips
If the Pure settings don’t load automatically, import them manually: in Pure Config click Import and choose the AC Vision Reality 1.3.5_ScriptSettings.ini file, located in extension/config-ext/Pure/scriptsettings. The author says it works best with his retexture mods, although the mod page doesn’t list them. Color grading isn’t enabled, so you don’t need any extra files.

How to install it
- Install Pure 0.254 and Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.3-preview211 or later.
- Go to the mod page on OverTake.gg, log in and download the file (about 36 KB).
- Copy its contents into your Assetto Corsa folder.
- Choose Vision Reality as your post-processing filter.
- If Pure doesn't load the settings, in Pure Config click Import and choose extension/config-ext/Pure/scriptsettings/AC Vision Reality 1.3.5_ScriptSettings.ini.

Common problems
