Formula Student UCM 2016 for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

The UCM 2016 is University of Canterbury Motorsport’s Formula Student car. Gary Paterson made the model, textures and physics from the CAD model and data provided by the team itself, which also gave him permission to release it.

What’s included

• A default power mode based on real-world use, with a one-second power boost from a standing start, and a rear-only RWD mode that cuts power in half.
• The full 2016 livery with all sponsors plus a simplified version; templates provided separately.
• Kunos sound.

Who it’s for

For short, narrow, technical tracks: the author recommends the game’s Drift, Brands Hatch Indy, Highlands Short and Magione, plus community Formula Student, karting and gymkhana layouts. On fast tracks the tires overheat.

Version

It’s 0.9 (January 2018). Things to know: don’t use the clutch, just put it in gear and go; the RPM that apps show is after an 11:1 reduction, and the fuel has no mass, it’s only there so the AI works. Damage, dirt and cable animation are missing.

How to install it

1. Go to the UCM 2016 page on OverTake.gg and log in.
2. Download the UCM_2016_v0.9.zip file (about 62 MB).
3. Drag it into Content Manager, or unzip it and copy the UCM_2016 folder into assettocorsa/content/cars.
4. Put it in gear and pull away without using the clutch.
