MAD Formula Team MFTC3 (Formula Student UC3M) for Assetto Corsa

What this mod does

The MFTC3 is the car MAD Formula Team, the Formula Student team of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, was set to race in 2020. The pandemic canceled the season, and Diego, one of its members, decided it should at least race in the virtual world: he developed the model and physics from real data and tested it for more than 2,000 km.

What’s included

• A 70 hp race version and a 121 hp EVO version with the same cornering speed.
• Physics based on data from the real car, a custom tire model since 1.8, and working AI.
• Team, YouTuber and thank-you liveries, plus templates.
• Track recommendations: Formula Student circuits, karting tracks and short layouts.

Who it’s for

For anyone who wants a small, technical single-seater, and for online racing: the mod page recommends the Simracing.gp Formula Student community, with weekly races under an hour long. Tips from the author: blip the throttle on downshifts, take care with cold tires and set ABS to Factory or Off. The standard version has no reverse gear.

Version

The latest update (March 2023) recalculated weight and center of gravity and reworked the suspension, drivetrain and aero: slower, but more realistic.

How to install it

1. Go to the MFTC3 page on OverTake.gg and log in.
2. Read the document the author asks you to read first.
3. Download the file (about 120 MB) and drop its folder into the assettocorsa root folder (or drag it into Content Manager).
4. In race weekend mode, turn off fuel consumption for the AI.
