What this mod does
Expanded Lowboy Weight Capacity is a mod by TruckerKid for SCS’s lowboy trailer. It raises its maximum gross weight to bring it closer to real lowboys. As a result, heavier loads show up on the freight market and the cargo market, in the single, double and triple variants.
What changes
- Tandem-axle lowboy: from 30 to 35 tons.
- Tridem-axle lowboy: from 40 to 55 tons.
- The values apply to all configurations with a dolly (Jeep) or extension axle (Stinger).
- It doesn’t add special transport loads to owned lowboys.
What it’s based on
The author used two Kaufman lowboys rated at 35 and 55 tons as a reference. According to him, they’re the closest match to the SCS trailer. It’s not a cheat: it changes the trailer’s limit, not money or XP.
Version and issues
The description doesn’t state a version. It was released in October 2025, and in June 2026 the author explained that it doesn’t depend on the game version and doesn’t need updates. A user confirmed in August 2026 that it works without problems. Another couldn’t see the Krone DLC loads; the author replied that the mod doesn’t touch loads and suspects another mod.

How to install it
- Open the "Expanded Lowboy Weight Capacity" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".

- Open the Mod Manager in your profile and enable "Expanded Lowboy Weight Capacity".
- If you use other mods that change the SCS lowboy, make sure they don't overwrite each other.
- Look for lowboy jobs: heavier loads will show up.
