What this mod does

Improved Suspension Behavior, by TruckerKid, is one of the first mods to use the chassis parameters SCS added in ATS 1.61. It adjusts how the truck and cab move using data for each model.

What it adjusts

  • Caster angle for each truck, based on the data the author found for each model.
  • Maximum wheel steering angle adjusted per model.
  • Damping on the front and rear axles, with the fronts slightly softer.
  • A slightly stiffer anti-roll bar on all trucks.
  • All trucks use the heavy suspension class and solid axles.
  • Cab with slightly softer damping and more mass.

Compatibility and load order

It includes the chassis files for all trucks and its own physics file designed to coexist with other physics mods. The author recommends placing it above them and, in general, high in the list, although he says it doesn’t require a specific priority. Since it replaces the chassis files, watch for conflicts with other mods that modify those same files.

Version

It was released on October 2, 2026 for ATS 1.61; older versions of the game don’t have these parameters. The author accepts donations through Buy Me a Coffee and PayPal.
