What this mod does
MinLedMod is Marc‘s first headlight mod. It replaces the stock yellowish halogen light with a bluish-white LED-style light, around 6000 K, on every truck.
What changes
- Color: cool white light instead of yellow.
- Reach: low and high beams reach farther, so you see curves and obstacles sooner.
- Angle: the beam points more toward the road and less at the pavement right in front of the hood.
Trucks and versions
According to the author it works on the 14 SCS trucks and on popular modded trucks, like the Peterbilt 389 v2. He lists it as compatible with 1.50, 1.57 and later, and with future updates; the latest revision is from May 2026 and has 17 change notes. The description is in Norwegian and English.
This one or Better Headlights?
Marc later released Better Headlights For ATS, built from scratch, tested on 1.61 and which also improves traffic lights. MinLedMod is a simpler option if you just want white light and more reach on your truck. Since both touch the headlights, enable only one.
There are no comments or discussions on the page, so no issues have been reported, but there are no confirmations on 1.61 either: try it on a secondary profile first.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator 1.57 or later (per the author)
- Steam account
- No DLC or additional mods
How to install it
- Open the "MinLedMod - Ultra LED for All Trucks" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- Go to your profile's Mod Manager and enable "MinLedMod - Ultra LED for All Trucks".
- Disable other headlight mods, including Better Headlights by the same author.
- Head out for a night drive to check the new beam.
