What this mod does
Realistic Custom Metallic Paint Mod, by CROLIVERQC, improves the metallic paint you pick with the custom color option at the service shop. According to the author, the game uses metallic flakes that are far too coarse; this mod makes them finer for more realistic reflections, color depth and light behavior, day and night.
What it covers
- It only affects the custom color selection; factory paintjobs don’t change.
- SCS trucks, including the Volvo VNL 2025.
- Many modded trucks: several by Ruda (Classic XL, Glider, W900, 362, 579), Harven, Pizzster, Dom, Smarty (Peterbilt 350 and 351), Kenworth K100, Freightliner FLB and FLD, Mack CHU613, several Internationals and TNT’s W900A.
- SCS trailers (tanker, flatbed, gondola, chip van and reefer) and trailers by Ruda and B4RT.
Versions
It was released on December 31, 2025 and reached 1.7 on May 13, 2026, with the VNL 2025. The author doesn’t list a game version. One user confirms it works on 1.58. The description is in English, French and Spanish. There’s no ETS2 version.
If you use Smarty’s Peterbilt 350 or 351, it covers those too.
