What this mod does
Peterbilt 350 is Smarty‘s recreation of the conventional Peterbilt introduced in 1949 and built until 1957 (847 units, according to the author). It’s the starting point for all the long-nose Peterbilts that came after, and in the mod the single-drive-axle model 280 appears as a chassis variant.
How to set it up right
- Standard chassis: Rockwell SLDD double-reduction axles with low ratios, from 4.68 to 5.90. They suit old engines (H series and early NH) and trade speed for wheel torque.
- Chassis with Stabilaire suspension and SQHD axles: ratios from 3.70 to 4.63, designed for newer engines.
- It only includes transmissions that work well in ATS: the author warns that compound transmissions aren’t well supported.
- Not every exhaust works with every tank; if the one you want doesn’t show up, try a rear tank.
Version and downloads
Version 1.0.10.1 was released on May 15, 2026. The author’s website also has old versions for ATS 1.46 to 1.53 and paint templates. Smarty only distributes his mods on Steam Workshop and scr-rigs.com, and asks that they not be reuploaded.
Compatibility
Real Eaton Fuller Transmissions added support for this truck in January 2026, in case you want Eaton transmissions with real names.

Common problems
What's the difference between the chassis?
The standard one has double-reduction axles with ratios from 4.68 to 5.90; the Stabilaire with SQHD drops to 3.70-4.63 and works better with modern engines.
Why can't I find an exhaust?
Not every exhaust is compatible with every tank; the author recommends trying a rear tank.
Does it have compound transmissions?
No. The author only includes transmissions that work properly in ATS.
Are there paint templates?
Yes, on the same scr-rigs.com page (version 1.0 from March 2023).
