What this mod does
Scot A2HD was the first truck Smarty made for ATS, back in 2016, and he’s still updating it: version 2.3 is from May 16, 2026. It recreates a model built in Debert (Nova Scotia, Canada) between 1976 and 1980 by a J. D. Irving subsidiary.
A bit of history
Its predecessor, the A1HD, used the Ford L-Series cab. The A2HD debuted Scot’s own cab, taken from its C1 tilt-cab series, with a one-piece fiberglass hood and fenders, and offered an integrated sleeper, something almost unheard of at the time.
What the mod includes
- Standalone truck: it doesn’t replace any model in the game.
- Sold at any Peterbilt dealer.
- Two frame variants and a wide range of accessories.
- Drive axles modeled by Transtar and sound using Kriechbaum samples.
- Paint templates on the author’s website.
Version and download
The file is 64.84 MB. The author doesn’t state the game version; the date corresponds to ATS 1.59. scr-rigs.com has old versions from ATS 1.4 up to 1.50 in case you play an older version. Real Eaton Fuller Transmissions has supported it since January 2026.

How to install it
- Open the Scot A2HD page on scr-rigs.com or subscribe on Steam Workshop from the forum thread.
- Download scr_scot_a2hd_v2.zip (64.84 MB).
- Copy the .zip, without unzipping, to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- Enable the mod in the Mod Manager.
- Go to any Peterbilt dealer to buy and configure it.
