What this mod does
Capsule is one of the most downloaded heavy vehicles on the official BeamNG repository: a modern city bus from the fictional Cycjos brand, with a rounded design that gives it its name. It includes double-decker and single-decker versions, from 10.5 meters up to a 19.5-meter articulated bus, with left- or right-hand drive.
What’s included
- Around 15 configs: standard, low-height (4.15 m), open-top sightseeing, 12 m and 18 m single-deckers, the Gigatransit articulated double-decker and wild versions for drifting or with rockets (Accelera).
- Hybrid and electric powertrains.
- Opening doors, a wheelchair ramp and working engine covers.
- Digital gauge cluster with metric or imperial units, HUD (Shift+H), interior lights (Y) and multi-speed wipers.
- Mannequin driver and passengers with adjustable weight, plus dynamic decal support.
Version for 0.39
The author released a 0.39 compatibility update in August 2026, and version 4.0.5 (September 2026) fixes textures, makes the passenger doors detachable and tunes the ESC and traction control. Because of flickering issues with 0.39, the upper-deck interior camera, the rear-view camera and the digital mirrors are temporarily disabled.
It’s ideal if you want to drive public transport around the game’s cities or run crash tests with a big vehicle.

Requirements
- BeamNG.drive 0.39 or later
- About 352 MB of free space for the .zip
- Recommended: Bus Display Controller by the same author if you want to change the destination signs (optional)
How to install it
- Quick option: in the game, open Repository, search for Capsule and click Subscribe; it downloads and enables itself.
- Manual option: download the .zip from the official repository page and don't extract it.
- Copy the .zip to %LOCALAPPDATAamNGBeamNG.drivecurrentmods (create the mods folder if it doesn't exist).
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that Capsule is enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector and search for Capsule to pick the config.

Common problems
Why don't the rear-view camera or digital mirrors work?
The author has temporarily disabled them on 0.39 because they caused screen flickering.
Is it a real bus?
No. It's a model from the fictional Cycjos brand made for the game; its JBeam structure is based on BeamNG's official Wentward.
How do I turn on the interior lights or the HUD?
Press Y for the interior lights and Shift+H for the HUD.
