What this mod does
Percheron V8 & Motorsport Pack, by MrFabou, turns the base game’s Cherrier Percheron truck into a whole family. It fits a 16.4-liter V8 diesel from 530 to 770 hp with an adjustable race ECU into the engine slot, plus a 12-speed automated manual with retarder.
The 12 configurations
XL770 V8 6×4 and L660 V8 4×2 tractors; the Race 44 V8 4×2, Rally-Raid 544 V8 4×4 and the roughly 1,200 hp S1200 V8 Stub Racer for motorsport; LE660 and SE450 E-Trait electric trucks with a twin-motor central drive; and bodied trucks: Expedition V8 4×4 and 6×6 with a 5-meter habitation cabin, race transporter, rear-loader refuse truck and a short box truck with a working 1,500 kg tail lift.
Version and compatibility
It requires BeamNG.drive 0.40 (tested on 0.40.4, per the author). Version 2.4 came out on November 3, 2026 with a race cockpit (cage, bucket seat and harness) for the race trucks. The .zip weighs 25.2 MB and needs no other mods. It has 5,110 downloads since October 28, 2026.
Origin and known issues
The base vehicle, the V8 mesh and the sounds are official BeamNG assets; bodies, chassis, electric drive and liveries are by MrFabou, with fictional brands and sponsors. It’s marked as alpha: 2.0 had floating parts and clipping that the author says were fixed in 2.2.

How to install it
- Open the Percheron V8 & Motorsport Pack page on the official BeamNG repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip without unzipping into the mods folder of your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- Start the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- In the vehicle selector pick the Cherrier Percheron and look for the V8, E-Trait, Expedition, Race or Refuse configurations.
