Tanker Wagon for BeamNG.drive

What this mod does

Tanker Wagon is a tank car for BeamNG.drive trains created by zagdima, author of several popular locomotives and wagons on the Repository. It’s based on Eastern European tank cars and has passed 84,000 downloads.

What’s included

• Two versions: the basic one and an explosive one.
• One paint job plus another you can color however you like.
• Working suspension.
• Adjustable coupler height, so you can hook it up to different trains.
• PBR materials, added in the September 2026 update.

Compatibility

Version 1.2, from September 22, 2026, adds PBR materials. The author doesn’t state a game version, and the mod page doesn’t mention Career mode or multiplayer. To use it you need a map with tracks and a locomotive to couple it to, for example one by the same author.

Tips

You pick the explosive version in the game’s vehicle menu or in the parts selector; some users couldn’t find it, so check both. The mod page includes a video explaining how to place wagons and trains on the rails. If you record videos with the mod, the author asks you to link the mod page in the description. It’s a good add-on if you already use trains in BeamNG.drive and want to build freight consists.

Requirements

• BeamNG.drive 0.39 or later
• A map with railroad tracks and a locomotive
• About 80 MB of free space for the .zip file

How to install it

1. Open the Tanker Wagon page on the official BeamNG Repository.
2. Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
3. If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
4. Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
5. Load a map with tracks, place a locomotive and the wagon on the rails and couple them.
