What this mod does
The Grant Gooseneck Wedge Car Trailer is a gooseneck car hauler with a wedge deck, like the ones used in North America to transport cars. In its fictional backstory it’s been built by Grant Company of Canada since the mid-2000s. It’s all-metal and made from scratch by RenAzuma66.
What’s included
- 35- and 50-foot lengths and 96- or 102-inch-wide decks.
- One, two or three axles, with single or dual wheels.
- Leaf springs without shocks, and equalizers on the multi-axle versions.
- Legal loads from almost 2.5 to more than 6.6 tons, shown on a plate at the front.
- Gooseneck or kingpin coupler for semi tractors, swappable in the parts menu.
- 16-inch steel wheels in four finishes and two 9-foot aluminum ramps.
Compatibility
Version 1.4 is from June 2026, before 0.39, and doesn’t list a game version. Many players use it in the RLS mod’s career.
Tips
The ramps are positioned by hand with the node grabber tool. Since June 2026 they’re simpler, but one user warns that they lift up when you drive a car onto them because they don’t lock in place. The author also acknowledges that the ABS doesn’t work well and that the rear hitch doesn’t respond to the L key.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the Grant Gooseneck Wedge Car Trailer page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or use Subscribe from the in-game Repository.
- If you download it manually, don't unzip it: copy the .zip into the mods folder of the current version (current) inside your BeamNG.drive user folder; if the mods folder doesn't exist, create it.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, find the Grant trailer and choose the length, axles and hitch type.
- Hitch it to a pickup with a gooseneck or, with the kingpin coupler, to a semi tractor.

Common problems
Which vehicles can it hitch to?
The gooseneck version only with hitches of that type; the kingpin version only with semi tractors. You can switch it in the parts menu.
How do I lower the ramps?
They're moved by hand with the node grabber tool; the author shows how in a video linked on the mod page.
Does it work in Career mode?
Several users use it in the RLS mod's career; the mod page doesn't mention the official Career mode.
