What this mod does
The Potent is a fictional truck from the Cherrier/Wentward brand inspired by ’90s European cab-over tractor units, the golden age of long-haul trucking. This is the free Lite version, which the author releases as a demo of the paid full version. Even so, it’s one of the most polished trucks on the Repository, inside and out.
What’s included
- Flat-cab tractor unit with several ready-to-drive configs.
- 6×4 bogie-style leaf spring rear suspension and 315/80R22.5 load tires for the rear axles.
- Australian right-hand-drive configs that use Gavril T-Series parts.
- ADR hazardous goods signage, a telescopic steering column and a beat-up ‘beater’ version.
- The truck and its trailer have been integrated into Career mode since 1.5.1.
Who it’s for
If you miss having a European truck in BeamNG, where almost all the heavy stuff is American, the Potent is the most complete option. It works well for running routes with a trailer, testing front-end deformation in crashes or putting together a convoy in Career mode.
Lite and full version
The Lite version is a free download from the Repository. The full version is sold on Gumroad and Patreon; the author asks you to remove the demo and clear the cache before installing it. 1.5.2 (July 31, 2026) updates the instrument cluster’s emissive maps for 0.39.

How to install it
- Open the Cherrier/Wentward Potent Lite page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- If you had an older version, clear the cache from the launcher before starting the game, as the author asks.
- Open the vehicle selector and find the Potent under the Cherrier/Wentward brand.
- Pick a config (4x2, 6x4 or RHD) and hook up a trailer to start running routes.

Common problems
Is it free?
Yes, the Lite version on the Repository is free. There's a paid full version on Gumroad and Patreon by the same author.
I see broken textures after updating, what should I do?
The author asks you to clear the cache before installing each version and to let him know if the texture problems persist.
The tires blow out as soon as the truck spawns
Some users have mentioned it in the reviews. It's usually caused by conflicts with other parts mods or leftovers from old versions in the cache.
Does it show up in Career mode?
Yes, since version 1.5.1 the truck and trailer are integrated into Career mode.
