What this mod does
MD-Series MDC Bus turns the chassis of the game’s Gavril MD-Series into a cab-forward bus, with a flat nose and the driver sitting over the front axle. It’s not a standalone vehicle: it uses the MD base that already comes with BeamNG.drive, so you don’t need to install anything else.
What it adds
- Two body lengths: 9 meters and 11 meters (the latter arrived in August 2026).
- School bus and prison bus components.
- A revised automatic gearbox and, since July 2026, a 5-speed manual.
- Several visor styles and a remade front end with a new grille and headlight bezels.
- In 1.5.0, separate body meshes and side stripes, remade textures and liveries, color-matched parts and new configs.
Who it’s for
It’s a good fit if you like doing bus routes, school transport or roleplay on servers and want something different from the stock bus. At just 24 MB, it barely adds to the game’s loading.
Release notes
The mod came out on July 13, 2026 and has been updated almost every week. It got 0.39 compatibility on August 4, and the current version is 1.5.0 from September 29, 2026. After each update, the author asks you to delete its cache folder to avoid texture errors.

Requirements
- BeamNG.drive 0.39
- Uses the stock Gavril MD-Series: no other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the MD-Series MDC Bus page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download or subscribe from the in-game Repository.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder in your user folder.
- If you're updating from an older version, delete the tempvehiclesmd_seriesmdc_bus folder inside the current folder in your user folder, as the author says.
- Launch the game, open the vehicle selector and find the MDC Bus under the Gavril MD-Series.
- Pick the 9- or 11-meter body and a config (school, prison, etc.).

Common problems
Do I need any other mods?
No. It builds on the Gavril MD-Series that already comes with BeamNG.drive.
The headlights or grille show up without textures
The author blames the cache: delete the md_seriesmdc_bus folder inside tempvehicles after every update.
The steering doesn't respond well
Some users mentioned it in earlier versions. Try the latest version with a clean cache before reporting it.
Does it have a manual gearbox?
Yes, since July 28, 2026 it includes a 5-speed manual in addition to the automatic.
