What this mod does
The CrashHard 8×8 BigRig Truck is a huge eight-wheel-drive truck made by CrashHard, a well-known YouTuber in the BeamNG.drive community. Its big draw is the number of parts that can break off: almost every component has its own JBeam structure and collides with the others, so crashes are really spectacular.

Performance
The author warns that it’s very demanding: each vehicle uses a single CPU core and this truck has a huge number of nodes. One user says that on a recent PC it runs at 110-130 FPS with a single truck, but on a 2020 machine it drops to 15-25. The tarp version is the heaviest.
Compatibility and tips
It hasn’t been updated since November 2019 and carries the Experimental prefix, but an August 2026 review says it still works on 0.39, at night too. Use it with only a few other vehicles on the map and report bugs in the forum thread, as the author asks.

How to install it
- Open the CrashHard 8x8 BigRig Truck page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, don't unzip it: copy the .zip into the mods folder of the current version (current) inside your BeamNG.drive user folder; if the mods folder doesn't exist, create it.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, find the 8x8 BigRig and pick a config.

Why does it run so slowly?
Almost every part has its own physics and each vehicle uses a single core; avoid filling the map with traffic and skip the tarp version.
