What this mod does
Cwmysgawen Rally Stage recreates a real rally stage in Wales, UK. It’s 7.5 kilometers of fast, very twisty gravel, built from national LiDAR elevation maps and videos of the real route. It’s one of the few British rally stages on the Repository, and every review gives it five stars.
What’s included
- A complete 7.5 km stage, all gravel.
- A rally mission with co-driver pacenotes.
- A light recreation of the surroundings around the stage.
- The Cherrier Vivace as the default car, chosen because it resembles the car used in the real event.
Accuracy and status
The author aimed for a faithful recreation: the main layout is quite accurate, although some edges of the road were estimated from video and may be off by about a meter. The outer roads aren’t decorated yet. The map is marked as Beta.
Tips and release notes
Version 0.9 from August 17, 2026 updates it for 0.39 and refreshes the images with the new lighting. The author warns that the mission’s pacenotes break after a game change: on one wide corner, if you stray far from the racing line, the next note doesn’t trigger and you’ll have to drive the last minute by eye. Players highlight how demanding it is, especially the first corner.

How to install it
- Open the Cwmysgawen Rally Stage page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder (Documents > BeamNG.drive > current > mods).
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Pick the map in Freeroam or find its rally mission on the map to run the stage with pacenotes.

Common problems
Is it a real stage?
Yes, it recreates a rally stage in Wales using LiDAR data and video of the real route; the author acknowledges offsets of about a meter on some edges.
The pacenotes stop playing, what should I do?
It's a known bug: on one wide corner, if you stray far from the racing line, the next note doesn't trigger. The author is working on a fix.
Which car should I use?
The Cherrier Vivace is the default car, but any rally car works.
