What this mod does
Snowtrax is a snowy map that brings several race tracks and an off-road route together in one setting. It’s the author’s first map and is still marked as Alpha because he keeps adding content, yet it has an average rating of 4.9 out of 5.
What’s included
- Snowval: a snowy dirt oval with an inner strip of ice.
- Figure H8: a snowy figure-eight track with a crossover on ice.
- Head to Head: tarmac and snow with jumps at the crossover.
- Race Till Destruction: bumps, jumps, rocks and banked turns for racing until your car breaks.
- Offroad Trail, with medium-difficulty trail driving, and Offroad Track, a wide course with fast corners.
- Soap Box Hill, a soapbox downhill that also works for motorized vehicles.
Who it’s for
Players recommend it for practicing rally on snow: they say the grip is realistic and fun, but predictable. It’s also great for racing friends, destruction and traction tests with off-roaders.
Release notes
The author has kept it updated for each game version: he fixed broken trees in 0.37 and shifted textures in 0.38, and in 1.3 from September 7, 2026 he updated materials and tree paths for 0.39. He warns that textures may break when you switch to an official map, which you can fix by restarting the game.

Requirements

- About 474 MB of free space for the .zip file
How to install it
- Open the Snowtrax page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder (Documents > BeamNG.drive > current > mods).
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Go into Freeroam, pick Snowtrax and select the spawn point of the track you want.

Common problems
Is there a version without snow?
One player asked, but the author hasn't announced one.
Textures break when I switch to another map, is that normal?
It's a known bug the author mentions; restarting the game fixes it.
Why does it say Alpha?
Because the author considers it in development and keeps adding content, although it already has seven playable tracks.
