Italy snowy for BeamNG.drive

What this mod does

Italy snowy turns the official Italy map, with its Mediterranean villages and coastal and mountain roads, into a snowy landscape. It’s by the same author as the winter versions of East Coast and Utah, and it installs as a separate map without interfering with the original.

What’s included

• Snowy terrain and roads with adjustable snowfall.
• A frozen sea, the only custom asset the author adds.
• Some scenarios from the original map; they weren’t designed for snow and some may be impossible.
• Since December 2025, a quarry and texture fixes.

Who it’s for

If you like Italy and want to see it in a different light, here you get its mountain bends with snow and little grip. The author points out that buildings and objects are hard to adapt to winter without editing their files, and that he removed some objects to gain FPS. There’s also a snowy skin pack for vehicles that you download separately.

Version notes

Version 1.2, from December 2025, adapts the map to 0.38. In February 2026 a player saw objects with no material or texture, and in September 2026 another asked for the textures to be updated for 0.39. The author warns that it isn’t a mod meant to last.

How to install it

1. Open the Italy snowy page on the official BeamNG Repository.
2. Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository.
3. If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder in your user folder (from the launcher: Manage User Folder > Open in Explorer).
4. Launch the game, check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled and pick Italy snowy from the map list.
5. If you want to undo saved changes, delete this map's folder inside levels in your user folder.
