Mount Danger for BeamNG.drive

What this mod does

Mount Danger is a mountain road map with a very clear motto: drive as fast as you dare. Its bends, elevation changes and cliffs make it a great place to test sports cars, do hillclimb-style runs or simply enjoy some demanding driving.

What’s included

• About 26.6 km of paved roads through the mountains.
• A snowy area with a tunnel, deep snow and snow-covered roads.
• A small area next to a radio telescope.
• A one-way gravel road.
• Terrain with PBR materials, plus more rocks and signs.

Who it’s for

It suits anyone who enjoys mountain pass roads and fast sections with little margin for error. The snowy part adds an extra challenge for switching tires or drivetrain. It’s by the same author as Insane Testing, one of the classic maps on the Repository.

Version notes

Version 1.3, from May 9, 2024, switched the terrain to PBR, redid the road textures and smoothed the snowy roads to make them more drivable. The mod page doesn’t list a game version; at that date the current one was 0.32. It’s still marked as Beta and hasn’t changed since.

Requirements

• About 489 MB of free space for the .zip file

How to install it

1. Open the Mount Danger page on the official BeamNG Repository.
2. Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository.
3. If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder in your user folder (from the launcher: Manage User Folder > Open in Explorer).
4. Launch the game, check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled and pick Mount Danger from the map list.
