What this mod does
ETK 854 ActiveHybrid is a mod by Deuflhard that turns BeamNG.drive’s ETK 800 wagon into a P2-type plug-in hybrid: the electric motor sits between the combustion engine and an 8-speed automatic gearbox, with a clutch that separates them.
What’s included
- Seven configurations: four-cylinder 30e, six-cylinder gasoline 40e and 40e Performance, and diesel 35d and 35d Performance, plus xAllrad versions with switchable all-wheel drive.
- 13.5 kWh battery and 83 kW electric motor, with boost levels of up to 200 kW.
- COMFORT, ECO PRO and SPORT modes combined with AUTO EV, MAX EV and BATTERY CONTROL.
- Launch control, regeneration up to one-pedal driving, and a towing mode.
- Energy flow HUD, hybrid instrument cluster and center display.
Compatibility
It doesn’t need other mods or modify any game files: it uses the ETK 800’s part slots. It’s made for 0.39.4, and the mod page doesn’t mention 0.40, Career mode or BeamMP.
Tips
The 40e Performance xAllrad is the fastest: 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds with launch control, according to the author. The Actions app shows the controls as buttons.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the ETK 854 ActiveHybrid page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Spawn the ETK 800 wagon, pick one of the ActiveHybrid configurations and add the mod's UI apps if you want to see the energy flow.

Common problems
Do I need another mod?
No. It works on the base game's ETK 800 and doesn't modify any game files.
Can it run as a pure EV?
Yes, in MAX EV mode while there's battery left; the ECU starts the engine when needed.
Are the xAllrad versions always 4x4?
No. All-wheel drive can be switched off to run rear-wheel drive only.
