What this mod does
The 1982 Hirochi RUSH, by LJ74, is a small pickup from a fictional brand inspired by ’80s Japanese compacts. This is the free demo, which has passed 317,000 downloads and has a rating of 4.91 out of 5. According to its backstory, it was sold under several names depending on the market: RUSH in the United States, Australia and New Zealand, Rascal in Japan, 120 in Europe, and Bruckell Champion as a rebadged US version.
What the demo includes

Full version
It costs 6 New Zealand dollars on Patreon, Gumroad or Ko-fi and adds lots of accessories, paints and parts, five sets of wheels, two hubcaps with variants, and future updates. Before installing it, the author asks you to delete the demo and clear the cache.
Compatibility
The «0.39 Refresh» update, from September 14, 2026, redesigns the roof and adds a European config, 13×5 wheels, new colors and black trim. It warns that the change to the headlight slots may break the lights on custom configs. Since July 2025 it has price and frequency tuned for Career mode and supports the vinyl editor.

How to install it
- Open the 1982 Hirochi RUSH Demo page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, look for Hirochi RUSH and pick one of the four configs.

Common problems
How is it different from the full version?
The full version (6 NZD) adds accessories, paints, five sets of wheels, hubcaps and future updates.
My saved configs have broken lights after updating, why?
