Here are 44 mods that add cars to BeamNG.drive: sports cars, sedans, SUVs, classics, a single-seater, a motorcycle and even a school bus, all with the game's soft-body deformation physics. They're free, link only to their page on the official BeamNG Repository and are reviewed for version 0.39. On each mod page we note whether the car works in Career mode and whether it needs another mod.

Official Repository or reuploads

The Repository is BeamNG's mod portal, built into the game: moderators review every mod before it's published, the uploader has to be its author or have permission, and if you subscribe you get updates automatically. Reupload sites, on the other hand, often copy mods without permission or host old versions. The Repository rules don't allow copyrighted content without permission, and many quality BeamNG car mods use fictional brands, just like the game's official cars (Ibishu, Hirochi, Gavril…). Outside of it, “real cars” circulate that are often models ripped from other games: we don't link to them on Holymod.

Featured cars

  • Ibishu 300BX: an '80s Japanese sports car with a V6 and T-top versions, one of the most downloaded cars on the Repository.
  • Gavril Vertex NA2: a compact with over 100 configurations, 11 engines and around 1,300 interchangeable parts.
  • Autobello Aria 1972: an Italian city car built from scratch, with 20 configurations and Career mode support.
  • 2022 Procyon Centauri: a luxury SUV with adjustable air suspension, a third row and V6 diesel or twin-turbo V8 engines.
  • Carbonworks F4: an entry-level single-seater with 580 kg and 180 hp and adjustable brake bias.
  • Hirochi Outlaw: a '90s sport bike with a rider, six engines and a drift version.

What to keep in mind

  • Version: with every major game update (when the second number changes, like from 0.38 to 0.39), BeamNG cleans up the user folder and moves files it doesn't recognize aside. Some cars stop working until their author updates them.
  • Dependencies: a few require another mod; the Brutto pack, for example, needs Hopper Leaf Springs.
  • Installation: subscribe on the Repository or copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your user folder. The car shows up in the vehicle selector.
  • How many: BeamNG doesn't recommend having more than 20 or 30 mods active at once. If something breaks, Safe Mode starts the game without mods so you can find the culprit.
  • Format: a BeamNG mod is a .zip. Be wary of any “mod” that comes as an .exe.

Frequently asked questions

Are there real car mods for BeamNG?

Subscribe on the Repository or copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your user folder. You'll find it in the vehicle selector.

Why did a modded car stop working after a BeamNG update?

Major updates change the game and clean up the user folder. The car will work again once its author releases an updated version; check the mod page to see which version it's made for.
