What this mod does
Big Stars is a veteran mod from the WTD team that brings two trucks built for heavy haulage into the game: the Mercedes-Benz Actros SLT and the Arocs SLT. They install as standalone vehicles, so they don’t replace the stock Actros and you can have both in your fleet.
What’s included
- 8×4 chassis in two lengths, 3300 mm and 3900 mm.
- 2500 mm Bigspace cab for both models and 2500 mm Gigaspace cab for the Actros.
- Selectable front bumpers, rear mudguards, badges, grilles and trailer couplings.
- Heavy-haul plates and signs, large and medium light-up signs and roof bars.
- License plates generated by the game itself.
Who it’s for
It’s a good fit if you enjoy heavy-haul convoys or special trailer jobs and want a tractor that looks like a construction or crane truck, different from the stock configurations. It’s a long-standing mod on Steam, with more than 200,000 subscribers.
Release notes
The author’s changelog says version 1.9.3 is made for ETS2 1.61.X. Heads-up: the description text still says it supports up to 1.59, because it hasn’t been updated, but the later updates are for 1.60 and 1.61. In version 1.9.0 the author asked players to buy the vehicles again in their saved games because some configuration options had been lost. If you’re coming from an old version and see missing parts, do the same.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Start ETS2 and open the Mod Manager from the profile menu.
- Enable Big Stars - Actros / Arocs SLT and confirm the changes.
- Load your save and find the new Actros and Arocs SLT at the dealer.
- Configure the chassis, cab and accessories at the service shop before buying.

Common problems
Does it replace the game's original Actros?
No. It's added as a standalone truck, so you can keep using the stock Actros.
My truck is missing parts or configurations. What do I do?
Since version 1.9.0 the author recommends selling and buying back the mod's vehicles in your saved game.
The description says it only goes up to 1.59. Does it work on 1.61?
Yes, according to the author's changelog: version 1.9.3 is for ETS2 1.61.X.
