What this mod does
Realistic Truck Physics is the best-known physics mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2. Frkn64 has maintained it since 2016, and the idea is for your truck to behave like a real heavy vehicle: the cab sways, the chassis works over the suspension and you can feel the trailer behind you.
What changes when you drive
- Revised chassis suspension for more natural, stable handling.
- More realistic cab movement and trailer suspension.
- A smoother interior camera that follows the motion without making you dizzy.
- Driveshaft torque simulation, so acceleration and gear shifts are more noticeable.
Recommended settings
The author asks you to set truck stability, cab suspension stiffness, suspension stiffness and trailer stability to 100%. As extra options he recommends also raising driveshaft torque, braking intensity and uneven road simulation to 100%.
Who it’s for
For anyone who drives from the cab, with a wheel or a controller, and wants more sense of weight. It works with all the game’s current trucks and with Convoy multiplayer mode. Version 9.2 adds support for 1.61. There’s also a paid Ultimate Pack (via Patreon) with several driving profiles and support for popular modded trucks; the free version is the one described here.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.60 or 1.61
- WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the file
- The game's suspension and stability settings at 100%
How to install it
- Go to the mod's official page on frkn64modding.com and download the free version.
- Extract the .zip with WinRAR or 7-Zip.
- Copy the .scs file to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- Open the game, choose your profile and enable the mod in the Mod Manager.
- In Options > Gameplay, set truck stability, cab suspension, suspension stiffness and trailer stability to 100%.
- Load your save and try the truck out on the road.

Common problems
Does it work in multiplayer?
The author states it's compatible with Convoy, the game's official multiplayer.
Does it work with modded trucks?
The free version is designed for the game's trucks. Support for popular modded trucks is in the Ultimate Pack, which requires a Patreon subscription.
My truck feels weird or unstable
Check that the stability and suspension settings are at 100% as the author asks, and that you don't have another physics mod enabled at the same time.
