Heavy Smoke: thicker smoke for Smoke in my Trucks for Euro Truck Simulator 2

What this mod does

Heavy Smoke is a small add-on by Carlitos for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It doesn’t add smoke on its own: it thickens the exhaust smoke produced by his other two mods, Smoke in my Trucks (your truck) and Traffic Trucks Smoke (traffic trucks and buses).

What you need

• Smoke in my Trucks, which adds continuous smoke to SCS trucks bought at a dealer.
• Traffic Trucks Smoke, which adds smoke to certain traffic trucks and buses.
• Both are listed as required items on Steam, and you need to have them enabled.

Load order

Heavy Smoke has to sit above the other two mods in the Mod Manager for the change to apply. The author shows the correct order in the images on the page.

Compatibility

It’s designed for the game’s stock trucks. The author warns that it won’t work on 99% of modded trucks, because he would have to modify those mods. The idea is inspired by the old Exhaust Smoke 1.39 mod.

Version

The description says the mod tracks the current game version, from 1.50 to 1.61. The latest file shown on Steam is from September 4, 2025, before 1.61. There’s also an ATS version.

Requirements

• Euro Truck Simulator 2 (1.50 to 1.61, according to the author)
• Smoke in my Trucks, by the same author
• Traffic Trucks Smoke, by the same author
• Stock SCS trucks
• Steam account

How to install it

1. Subscribe to Smoke in my Trucks and Traffic Trucks Smoke on Steam Workshop.
2. Open the “Heavy Smoke” page and click “Subscribe”.
3. Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
4. Enable all three mods.
5. Keep Heavy Smoke above Smoke in my Trucks and Traffic Trucks Smoke.
6. Confirm the changes and load your profile.
