What this mod does
TestTrailer is a mod by yusogame designed as a testing tool, not a regular cargo trailer. It lets you see how your truck performs with a lot of weight behind it: engine, gearbox, axle ratio, acceleration and hill climbing.
What’s included
- Five trailers you pick separately: 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150 t.
- Four paint jobs for each weight: Triangle Logo, Weight Mark, Load Slash and Load Band, at €1 each in-game.
How the weight works
The weight shown is the mass of the trailer itself. The total weight limit is that mass plus 10 t: the 50 t trailer goes up to 60 t and the 150 t one up to 160 t.
What to use it for
The author suggests comparing engines, gear ratios and axle ratios, measuring acceleration and climbs under heavy load, or testing different truck configurations with the same load. That way you can decide which engine or axle ratio suits you before doing a real special transport job.
Version
The author marks it as compatible with ETS2 1.60 and 1.61. It was last updated on October 1, 2026. It doesn’t need any DLC or other mods. The description is in English and Japanese.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 updated to version 1.61 (the author lists 1.60 and 1.61)
- No DLC or other mods needed
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Launch ETS2, go to the Mod Manager and enable “TestTrailer”.
- Load your profile and go to a trailer dealer.
- Buy the trailer with the weight you want to test (50, 75, 100, 125 or 150 t).
- Hook it up and compare your truck on the same hills with different engines or axle ratios.

The trailer's mass plus 10 t: up to 160 t with the 150 t one.
