What this mod does
This mod by Harven adds the Mack R Series to Euro Truck Simulator 2, the long-nose American truck, recreated with the real dimensions from Mack’s late-1970s specifications. It’s a standalone truck: you buy it, configure it and use it like any other truck in your fleet.
What’s included
- Detailed, fully animated interior.
- Period engines: the 6V92 and the Mack E6, with torque curves and parameters designed to be realistic, and their own sound.
- Maxitorque gearboxes, including the 12-speed TRTXL 1070.
- Several paint jobs (Rainbow Mack, Red Velvet, Retro Stripes, Vintage, Road Warrior and others) by Lucasi, Pauly and Harven himself, compatible with the Scania Next Gen paint system.
Limitations worth knowing
For now there’s only the R600 hood with a day cab. Due to limitations in ETS2 itself, it has no warning flags or right-side hood mirror, and the author has no plans to add modern engines or high-power versions: the idea is to drive a classic truck with the performance of its era.
Who it’s for
For anyone who wants a classic American truck on the European map and enjoys driving with little power and a long manual gearbox. It isn’t compatible with TruckersMP, so it’s a mod for single-player saves.

The author’s latest change note on Steam (September 22, 2026) is the compatibility update for game version 1.61.

Requirements
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 updated to version 1.61
- A Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- About 400 MB of free disk space
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Wait for Steam to finish the download (about 393 MB).
- Start ETS2 and open the Mod Manager from the profile menu.
- Enable "Mack R Series" and confirm the changes.
- Load your save and look for the Mack at the dealer or in the game's truck purchase list.
- Set up the engine, gearbox and paint job and start working with it.

Common problems
Can I use it on TruckersMP?
No. The author says it isn't compatible with TruckersMP.
Why doesn't it have a sleeper cab or other hoods?
For now the mod only includes the R600 hood with a day cab; the author hasn't announced more variants.
Are there engines over 500 hp?
No. It only includes period engines (6V92 and Mack E6), and the author has no plans to add modern or very powerful engines.
