What this mod does
MAN – Drivetrain Revision is a mod by Galimim that overhauls the drivetrain of MAN trucks in Euro Truck Simulator 2: engines with real parameters, gearboxes with real ratios and names, badges and icons. Holymod already has pages for the Volvo and Renault Drivetrain Revisions.
Trucks
SCS’s MAN TGX and TGX Euro 6, SCS’s MAN TGX 2020 (since 2.21), MADster’s MAN TGA, TGS, TGS Euro 6 and TGX Euro 6, and Gloover’s MAN TGX.
What’s included
- D1556, D2066, D2676, D3066, D2868 and D3876 engines, in Euro 5 and Euro 6 versions depending on the truck.
- ZF AS Tronic, TC Tronic, TraXon and Ecosplit gearboxes, plus TipMatic, with several ratios.
- Euro 6 and D38 badges for the stock TGX and new engine and gearbox icons.
Author’s tips
Torque converter gearboxes should only be used with 8×4 chassis, and the ZF 16 S with 6×4, 6×6 and 8x*. The mod has to load after all your MAN truck mods, meaning above them in the Mod Manager. He recommends Oscar’s realistic trip computers for the TGX.
Version
Version 2.23 (May 10, 2026) added the D3066 engines with their badges. The author doesn’t state the game version.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish the download (about 210 MB).
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Place it above all your MAN truck mods.
- In your save, take your MAN to a service shop and pick the engine and gearbox.
