What this mod does
Realistic weather conditions_4K, by 挞跋燕, changes the weather in Euro Truck Simulator 2 to look more like the real thing, with storms, fog and other bad-weather effects. It has over 44,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop, and the author updates it often (more than 90 change notes).
Installation and settings
- Place it at the very top of the Mod Manager so it takes priority.
- Settings recommended by the author: reflection scale at 200%, reflection detail on high and weather effects quality on high.
- It’s about 7.8 GB: make sure you have the space, and be patient with the first download.
Issues players mention
Some players say nights look too dark. Another warns that in right-hand-drive trucks the wipers don’t clear the raindrops in the rain; the author replied that this can’t be fixed. One player clarified that the pink interior someone else was getting wasn’t caused by this mod. Nobody has confirmed whether it’s compatible with other weather mods, so it’s safest not to mix them.

How to install it
- Open the “Realistic weather conditions_4K” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to finish the download.
