What this mod does
Super Engine & Transmission is a mod by GA071MA, who also made Engine & Transmission, that adds very powerful engines and new gearboxes to the trucks in Euro Truck Simulator 2. It has over 340,000 subscribers.
What’s included
- Six engines: 850, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 hp.
- Four gearboxes.
- Twelve engine sounds.
- Fuel tanks up to 5,000 liters.
Compatible trucks
The stock SCS trucks and many mod trucks: Sanax’s Volvo, trucks from Quality3DMods, Dotec, Cristhian and LoaderSaints, and models from Scania, Renault, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, DAF, MAN, Sisu, Freightliner, Mack, Ford or the Toyota SW4. With Sanax’s Volvo 2022 you need to use one of the author’s gearboxes.
Sounds
The credits mention Zee, Johnny_Cash, Kriechbaum, Wolfgang Haring, Slav Jerry, Serialblack, Japheth Rasta.Jr and Aeronildo. According to the author, they only contributed the sounds.
Version
The author lists it from v1.40 onward and says it only needs updating if SCS changes the game’s structure or a truck’s chassis. The note from April 14, 2024 lists it as working on 1.50; the latest revision is from February 2026. Some players mention weaker brakes and game crashes.

How to install it
- Open the “Super Engine & Transmission” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager, enable the mod and confirm the changes.
- At a service shop or dealer, pick one of the new engines, gearboxes or tanks for your truck.
