What this mod does

The Cold North Map expands inland Sweden within ProMods. It was created by ciezarowkarz and is now maintained by hi sora, with permission to fix it and republish it. With more than 67,000 downloads, it’s one of the most popular maps on his TruckyMods profile.

What it adds

The towns of Dorotea, Vännäs and Åsele.
Malung, which arrived in version 1.2 along with new map layers.
The Riksväg 92 road.
Since 1.4, Strömsund and Namsos, two cities ProMods had hidden.
Improved city names and road layers in the UI.

Version and requirements

The latest version, 0.1-1.58 (February 23, 2026), is for ETS2 1.58 with ProMods 2.81. You need ProMods and the map DLCs it requires. Since 2025 the author has released an update for each game and ProMods version, but 1.61 doesn’t show up on TruckyMods yet.

Plans and new website

hi sora is working on an E16 expansion and says the mod is moving, perhaps temporarily, to his website soramods.pl, where it’s worth checking for newer versions.

Who it’s for

For anyone who enjoys the long, quiet routes of the Scandinavian north. If that area is your thing, also check out Danmark Refined.
