John Deere 2280 for Farming Simulator 22

What this mod does

The John Deere 2280 is a classic self-propelled windrower that SleutjesModding has brought to Farming Simulator 22. It comes with its John Deere 300 cutting platform, so you get a complete grass-mowing setup without relying on a tractor and mower.

In-game stats

• John Deere 2280: $14,500 and 80 hp.
• Configurations: rear weight, beacon light, antenna, window color, filter, exhaust, cab colors, interior and mirrors.
• John Deere 300 platform: $3,400 and 4.5 m working width, with configurable colors and reel model.
• About 15 MB download, with no dependencies.

What it’s for on the farm

According to its author, this setup makes mowing grass much faster. It’s a good buy for farms with cows, sheep or horses that need forage: mow with the 2280 and then pick up the grass with a forage wagon or bale it.

Platforms and tips

It’s available on PC/Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Its modest price makes it a good fit early in a savegame; on big fields, combine several units or put a worker on mowing while you handle other tasks.

How to install it

1. Download it from the official ModHub (link on this page) or search for "John Deere 2280" in the in-game Mods menu, on PC or console.
2. If you download it manually on PC/Mac, copy FS22_JohnDeere_2280.zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder: Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2022 > mods.
3. Activate the mod when you create or load your savegame.
4. Buy the 2280 and the John Deere 300 platform in the shop (Mowers category) and attach the platform before heading to the field.
