Can you get it for free today?
Not legally. The Epic Games Store giveaway lasted just one week (until May 30, 2024) and we’re not aware of it being repeated. Steam offers no demo, and the PlayStation store doesn’t show it as included in PS Plus. The cheapest way is to wait for a sale: it’s a 2021 game that’s often discounted, especially since Farming Simulator 25 came out.
FS22 or FS25 on price?
| Item | Farming Simulator 22 | Farming Simulator 25 |
|---|---|---|
| Steam Spain | 19,99 € | 29,99 € |
| Steam Mexico | Mex$ 319 | Mex$ 489 |
| PlayStation Store Spain | 29,99 € (PS4 and PS5) | 39,99 € (PS5 only; included in PS Plus Extra) |
| Disk space (Steam) | 35 GB | 50 GB |
FS22 is cheaper and runs on PS4 and Xbox One; FS25 keeps getting new official expansions, like Beans & Alpacas. If your PC is old, FS22 also asks for less.
Beware of «free downloads»
Sites offering «Farming Simulator 22 free for PC» or «with all DLC» distribute pirated copies: it’s illegal, it’s a common source of malware and those copies can’t access the ModHub or multiplayer. We don’t link to any.
What is free: mods
Every mod on GIANTS’ official ModHub is free, on PC and consoles. Holymod has more than 200 FS22 mod pages, almost all free: maps like The Old Stream Farm or Lands of La Mancha, or the Courseplay script for PC. If a mod ever had a cost, we’d say so on its page. Start with the guide to installing mods or the list of maps.
