For most players, the best Farming Simulator 22 mods are the free Precision Farming DLC, CoursePlay to automate fieldwork, maps like Krajeńskie Pola or El Villarejo and tractor packs like the Fendt 700 Vario Gen7. Below are 28 mods from the official ModHub sorted by type: maps, tractors, combines, implements, trucks and cars, buildings and scripts. They’re all free, and for each one we note whether it works on PS4, PS5 and Xbox or only on PC/Mac.
We picked them from the pages in our FS22 mod directory based on ModHub ratings and downloads, variety, and whether they still work with version 1.14, the game’s latest.
Maps
A mod map is always played in a new savegame, and almost all of them require other mods: check their dependencies before you start.
- Krajeńskie Pola (PC/Mac only). A quadruple-size Polish map with 5 farms, 191 fields and 28 meadows, inspired by three real villages. It’s the most downloaded FS22 mod on the ModHub, but it needs 50 dependencies.
- El Villarejo (PC and consoles). Mediterranean crops rarely seen in the game: olives, almonds, pistachios, chickpeas and lentils, with 61 fields and more than 20 factories. It needs three ModHub mods.
- Lands Of La Mancha (PC and consoles). Set in Castilla-La Mancha, with 95 fields, a vineyard with a winery, garlic, almonds and pistachios. It also requires three ModHub mods.
- Castile And Leon: New Horizon (PC and consoles). A Castilian village with 84 fields, 34 crops, orchards, greenhouses and a fish farm. It supports at most 9 extra crops or productions.
- Estancia São Carlos (PC and consoles). A Brazilian map inspired by Jataí (Goiás), with 36 fields, sugarcane with ethanol, coffee and Southern Hemisphere seasons, with no snow.
If you want a map with no dependencies, No Man’s Land lets you start from scratch between France and Spain, and The Old Stream Farm brings back a classic with more than 13.800 votes. You’ll find the rest in FS22 maps.
Tractors
There are tractors for every taste on the ModHub; these four range from today’s high end to classics and the biggest machines in the world.
- Fendt 700 Vario Gen7 (PC and consoles). The seventh generation from the 720 to the 728, from 203 to 303 hp, with lots of configuration options. It’s one of the best-rated tractors on the FS22 ModHub.
- John Deere 8R, 8RT and 8RX 2020 (PC and consoles). Three versions in one pack: wheels, two tracks and four tracks, from 230 to 410 hp, in American spec. No dependencies.
- Fiatagri 180-90 (PC and consoles). A 180 hp classic with a six-cylinder turbo engine and one of the most-voted tractors on the ModHub. Ideal for vintage playthroughs.
- BigBud 747 16V (PC and consoles). One of the biggest tractors in the world, with 1.100 hp and single, dual or triple wheels, by modder Hispano. Made for the widest implements in the game.

Combines
Before buying a mod combine, check which headers it comes with: if it doesn’t include the one you need for your crop, you’ll have to use one from the base game or another mod.
- John Deere X9 2020 (PC and consoles). Up to 690 hp and a grain tank from 16.200 to 27.400 liters, in American or European spec. No dependencies.
- CLAAS DOMINATOR 108 SL MAXI (PC and consoles). A classic 221 hp combine with a 5,1 m C510 header and header trailer, released by GIANTS Software.
- Bizon BS Z110 (PC/Mac only). The timeless Polish combine in twelve variants from 1987 to 2004, from 150 to 220 hp, with a 5.500-liter grain tank and two headers.

Implements and tools
- Pack Of Balers With Windrower (PC and consoles). Four large square balers with a built-in windrower from 10,3 to 20 m: you rake and bale in a single pass. It’s one of the most popular mods on console.
- Straw Harvest Pack (PC and consoles). Krone Premos 5000 pellet harvester, BiGPack and Comprima balers, bale grabs and a pellet shed with a palletizer, by Creative Mesh.
- Krone Swadro 2000 (PC and consoles). A giant rotary rake with a 19-meter working width that needs 145 hp.
- Field Creator (PC and consoles). A pack of 27 cultivators, harrows and subsoilers to create new fields, enlarge them or merge them. It’s only 0,27 MB.

Trucks, cars and trailers
Autoloading vehicles save a lot of time moving bales and pallets, especially on console, where there are no scripts like CoursePlay to do the work for you.
- TLX Phoenix Series (PC and consoles). A long-nose truck from LizardMotors with dozens of configurations: dump, forestry, flatbed, tanker, pallet autoloader and chipper.
- MAN TGX Transporter (PC and consoles). A 500 hp vehicle transporter with an adjustable-width ramp and automatic tie-down for machines, bales and pallets.
- Lizard Rumbler Van (PC and consoles). A 300 hp van that loads and unloads almost any product on its own and can drop it on pallets on the ground. Trailer included.
- 40′ Flatbed Autoloading Bale Trailer (PC and consoles). A 40-foot flatbed that loads bales by itself and converts into a dump trailer, livestock trailer, box trailer or forestry trailer.

Buildings and productions
- Sell Everything (PC and consoles). Two placeable selling points that buy everything: crops, bales, logs, factory products, animals, seed and fertilizer. Very handy on maps with few buyers.
- Dairy Sheep Pack (PC and consoles). Dairy sheep with three pens for 30 to 120 animals, a sheep cheese factory, a selling point and a milk tanker, by VSR Modding Sur.
- Wind Turbine Package (PC and consoles). Three wind turbines that turn into the wind and earn between 3.000 and 4.200 per hour. Expensive, but they pay for themselves.

Scripts and gameplay
This is where the platforms differ most: scripts don’t come to console, except official GIANTS ones.
- Precision Farming (PC and consoles). Official, free GIANTS DLC: four soil types, soil sampling, crop sensors, economic analysis and an environmental score, plus three machines.
- CoursePlay (PC/Mac only). Automates fieldwork with courses and headlands, up to 5 helpers per field, bale collecting and combine unloading.
- Guidance Steering (PC/Mac only). GPS guidance with AB or A+heading lines to work your fields in straight passes.
- LumberJack (PC/Mac only). Improves the chainsaw: cut marker, super strength to move logs and stump grinding.
- Emergency Pack (PC and consoles). Turns the game into a firefighting simulator, with spreading fires, traffic accidents and rescues. It also works in multiplayer.
- Tensionbelt Support (PC and consoles). Lets you strap down front loader, telehandler and skid steer tools to carry them on a trailer.

Which mods on this list don’t work on console
Of the 28 mods, 23 are also on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. These five are PC/Mac only:

On console, download them from the in-game ModHub. On PC and Mac you can do the same or copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2022 > mods.
