The best Farming Simulator 25 mods are Precision Farming, the free official pack from GIANTS; CoursePlay and Universal Autoload for automating work; community maps like The Pichonnière Valley and The Mechet; and highly detailed machines like the Fendt 700 Vario series. They’re all free and downloaded from the official ModHub, and most of them also work on PS5 and Xbox Series; we point out which ones are PC only.
To pick these 10, we started from the mod pages published on Holymod and kept mods from GIANTS’ official ModHub that are updated for the current version of FS25 and have a good average rating on the ModHub itself, almost always with hundreds or thousands of votes. The ratings we quote are the ones the ModHub showed when we reviewed each mod page and may change.

Tools and gameplay improvements
Precision Farming
Free official pack from GIANTS that adds precision agriculture: soil types, soil sampling, variable-rate application, yield maps, tramlines and six new machines. It’s one of the most-rated mods on the ModHub (an average of 4.5 from more than 10,000 ratings) and adds a lot more depth to field management. It has a steeper learning curve than the base game, isn’t listed for Switch 2 and some community maps may not be compatible.
CoursePlay
The classic automation mod: you create and edit courses so helpers can harvest, unload, collect bales or work the silo, with several vehicles working together. It’s far more flexible than the game’s helpers, and its team actively maintains it. It only works on PC/Mac, requires the latest version of the game and it’s worth reading its official help before you start.
Universal Autoload
Script that adds autoloading to base-game trailers for pallets, containers and logs, by load type or mixed, without buying new vehicles. It integrates with AutoDrive and CoursePlay and works in multiplayer. It’s PC and Mac only; if you play on console, one alternative is the Bale Autoload Pack, with trailers that pick up bales on their own.
Maps
The Pichonnière Valley
French map of the Sarthe region based on a real dairy farm, recreated with the farmer’s permission, with 111 fields, seven farms and lots of production chains. It has an average of 4.7 from more than 4,500 votes on the ModHub. On the downside, it needs eight building mods from the ModHub, weighs more than 700 MB and its 1.1.0.0 update forced players to start a new savegame from scratch.
The Mechet
Map set in the Morvan, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, with 136 fields, four farms, a vineyard, snails and compost, and a carefully crafted landscape of hedgerows, rivers and villages. Its average is 4.7 from almost 5,000 votes. It takes up about 1.4 GB not counting its three required packs from the same author, and its small, irregular fields aren’t ideal for very wide machinery.
Lagoon Dry Andalusia 2.0
If you’d rather farm in Spain, this map is set around a dried-up lagoon in Andalusia, with 39 fields, vineyards and olive groves ready to harvest from the start, an olive oil mill and a carpentry workshop. It also has cheap plots you can clear and turn into fields. It needs the Olives + Olive Picker mod, it’s a conversion of an FS22 map and its ModHub rating (4.1) is lower than the maps above.
Other maps we have mod pages for that are worth a look: Szpakowo, with 189 fields and available even on Switch 2, and Mediterranean Italy, with olive groves, vineyards and olive oil production.
Tractors
Fendt 700 Vario Series
Four generations of the Fendt 700 Vario series (S4, Gen6, Gen7 and Gen7.1), from 150 to 303 hp, with a huge number of configurations, including a front loader, and no dependencies. It’s one of the highest-rated tractors on the ModHub (4.8 from more than 2,600 votes) and its author keeps updating it. Some features require optional mods and it takes up almost 100 MB.
Valtra T Series CVT South America
Valtra T with a CVT transmission in its South American version: six models from 195 to 300 hp, 55 km/h and dozens of options for wheels, weights and lights, compatible with Precision Farming. It has a 4.9 average on the ModHub and is on every platform. It’s the South American variant, so some details differ from the European Valtra T, and the Interactive Control and Real GPS features are PC only.
Combines and trailers
CLAAS Lexion 500 Series
CLAAS Lexion 510 to 600 combines (2003-2009), from 232 to 493 hp, with four headers from 6 to 9 meters and header trailers included. Its harvesting AI has improved in recent updates and it has no dependencies. These are 2000s models, not the current lineup, and the cameras depend on a paid DLC.
La Campagne Pack
Five La Campagne monocoque tipping trailers, with two and three axles and from about 20 to 47 m³ with extensions, with lots of configuration options. It has an average of 4.9 on the ModHub and is available on every platform, Switch 2 included. The three-axle ones need powerful tractors when loaded, and the pack takes up 125 MB.
If you still play FS22
FS22 mods don’t work in FS25, but several on this list have an equivalent: CoursePlay for FS22, the Fendt 700 Vario Gen7 from the same author, or Spanish maps like Castile And Leon: New Horizon. You’ll find them all in the Farming Simulator 22 section.
How to install them
On PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2, mods are installed from the game’s own Downloadable Content menu, which gives you access to the ModHub. On PC and Mac you can do the same or download the .zip from the ModHub website and copy it, without unzipping, into the game’s mods folder. Before loading a map, also install every mod it requires as a dependency. You’ll find the step-by-step in the guide to installing mods in Farming Simulator 25.
Frequently asked questions
Which FS25 mods work on console?
Everything on this list except CoursePlay and Universal Autoload, which are PC and Mac only. Fewer are available on Switch 2: from this selection, the Valtra T and La Campagne Pack are listed, and Precision Farming doesn’t appear for that console.
Can I add a map to a savegame I’ve already started?
No. You choose the map when you create the savegame, so to play on a new one you have to start another. Tractors, trailers and tools, on the other hand, can be added to an existing savegame.
Why won’t a map load, or why is it missing buildings?
It’s almost always because a dependency is missing. The Pichonnière Valley needs eight mods, The Mechet three and Lagoon Dry Andalusia the Olives + Olive Picker mod. Each mod page has the list with links to the ModHub.
Are ModHub mods safe?
Yes: the ModHub is GIANTS’ official platform and it reviews mods before publishing them. Avoid reupload sites, which often offer old or modified versions.
