What this mod does
Echoes of the Raven Plague Doctor is a pack by HayHayBeans, author of HayHay’s Mob Cosmetics, that dresses your character as a plague doctor with a raven look: masked hood, tunic, gloves and pants. It’s not just a costume: these are armor pieces you craft and equip like any other.
The armor
- Four pieces: Raven Plague Doctor Hood, Tunic, Gloves and Bottoms.
- Stats similar to the adamantite set, with extras: poison resistance, health regeneration and stamina regeneration.
- Crafted at the tier 3 Armorer’s Bench.
The Echoes of the Raven book
It’s a spellbook-type weapon crafted at the Arcanist’s Bench. Each use summons ravens that fight by your side and costs 10 stamina and 5 dark feathers. The author recommends aiming at the ground when summoning. While you cast, a gear spins and floats above the book, and the summoned ravens have glowing green eyes.
Version
1.5.4 (September 2, 2026) declares compatibility with Hytale 0.6.3 and later within 0.6. If you only want the look without stats, the author has a separate purely cosmetic version for the Wardrobe mod. It suits dark-themed characters, alchemists or roleplay servers.
Checked on October 20, 2026: the author hasn’t published a file marked for Hytale 0.7 (Update 7) on CurseForge yet. We’ll check again and update this page as soon as it’s out.

Requirements
- Hytale (Early Access) on PC, version 0.6.3 or later within 0.6 (file HayHays_Plague_Doctor-1.5.4.zip)
- No dependencies: doesn't need any other mods
- Access to the tier 3 Armorer's Bench and the Arcanist's Bench
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on CurseForge and click Install to install it with the CurseForge app, or download HayHays_Plague_Doctor-1.5.4.zip from the Files tab.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Open Hytale, right-click the world, go into its settings and enable the mod; on a new world you can enable it when creating it.
- On a dedicated server, place the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- In your game, craft the pieces at the tier 3 Armorer's Bench and the Echoes of the Raven book at the Arcanist's Bench.

Common problems
The book won't summon the ravens
Check that you have at least 10 stamina and 5 dark feathers in your inventory, and aim at the ground when using it, as the author recommends.
Can I wear the look without changing my armor?
Yes, with the same author's cosmetic version, HayHay's Plague Doctor Cosmetic, which works with the Wardrobe mod. Check its page to see which game version it's published for.
Will it work on Update 7?
1.5.4 is declared for versions from 0.6.3 up to before 0.7, so with Update 7 you'll need to wait for an update from the author.
