Golden Apples (And carrots) for Hytale

What this mod does

Golden Apples (And carrots) brings golden apples and carrots, a survival game classic, to Hytale, rebalanced for Orbis. They’re very powerful emergency food, designed mainly for Survival mode.

The three items

• Golden Apple: 1 apple and 5 gold ingots at the Alchemy Bench. Heals 85% of your health and gives a small regeneration for 2 minutes.
• Golden Carrot: 1 carrot and 1 gold ingot. Heals 20%, regenerates health for 1 minute and stamina for 3.
• Enchanted Golden Apple: it can’t be crafted; it shows up in chests, especially in high-tier dungeons. Heals 100%, gives Absorption (+50 max health for 10 minutes), strong regeneration for 30 s and stamina regeneration for 5 minutes. It glows when placed.

With Update 7

Version 1.7.1, from October 12, 2026, fixes a bug and adapts the mod to 0.7; don’t install 1.7 from the same day, which is marked as 0.6. In Update 7, bread or cheese now only heal 5% and eating takes 2.5 s, so these apples stand out even more. The author warns they may be too strong in PvP; you change the values by editing 8 JSON files in Server/Entity/Effects and re-zipping the mod.

Requirements

• Hytale (Early Access) on PC or server, version 0.7 (file Golden_Apples_And_Carrots_1.7.1.zip)
• No dependencies: the Relations tab is empty

How to install it

1. Open the Golden Apples (And carrots) page on CurseForge and click Install to set it up with the CurseForge app, or download Golden_Apples_And_Carrots_1.7.1.zip from the Files tab (the file marked 0.7).
2. If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
3. Open Hytale, right-click the world, check Golden Apples (And carrots) in the mod list and save the world settings.
4. On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
5. Craft the golden apples and carrots at the Alchemy Bench; the enchanted apple can only be found in chests.
